MURRAY HILL, N.J. and SAN MATEO, Calif. - Lucent Technologies and Kagoor Networks, a leader in session border control solutions, announced today that they have signed a global reseller agreement that will enable Lucent's carrier customers to deliver converged communication services across multiple Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
Kagoor's Voice Flow 3000 will be part of Lucent's converged IMS (IP Multimedia Sub-system) solution that can deliver multimedia voice, video and data services to enterprises and consumers. Session border controllers reside at service providers' network borders and resolve voice over IP (VoIP) issues such as security, VoIP protocol interoperability and interworking and service assurance.
Lucent Technologies is integrating Kagoor's VoiceFlow solutions into Hot Telecom's voice over IP network under a contract announced last July with the cable telephony provider. Lucent Worldwide Services is providing network integration and security services for Hot Telecom, an Israeli-based cable telephony consortium formed by Golden Channels, Tevel and Matav-Cable Systems Media (NASDAQ: MATV; TASE: MATV).
Under the non-exclusive agreement with Kagoor, Lucent will sell and market Kagoor's award winning VoiceFlow 3000 product worldwide as part of Lucent's Accelerate™ portfolio of products and solutions for next generation networks. Business and residential communications services supported by the integrated solution include hosted IP PBX, IP Centrex, Voice over Broadband and Voice virtual private networks.
