August 18, 2004 - Juniper Networks, Inc. announced that Hydro One Telecom, Inc., an Ontario-based provider of broadband telecommunications services to carriers, large enterprises and Internet Service Providers (ISPs), has deployed its M-series routing platform to support enhanced broadband services such as transparent LAN services and high-speed Internet access. The new IP/MPLS-based network architecture has also improved Hydro One Telecom's network scalability and security and reduced operational expenses.
The M-series platforms are purpose-built to offer secure, scalable and reliable IP services for high-speed networks. The products reduce the time required to launch new IP services and simultaneously lower capital costs by simplifying operational support, as well as streamlining design, testing and network implementation processes at the network edge.
